Sunset Cruise: Experience the Sunset at Sea
To make the moment even more magical, a saxophonist provides live music throughout your Sunset Cruise.
With ANAVA, the sun sets… but the experience is only just beginning.
Step aboard Planète Bleue in Deshaies and let the day gently fade away as you experience one of the most beautiful moments on Guadeloupe’s leeward coast.
Your Sunset Cruise begins with a sail towards Paul Thomas, a remarkable natural site nestled along the coast of Basse-Terre. Before you enter the water, our naturalist guide introduces you to the site, its surroundings and its rich marine ecosystem. This is an opportunity to understand what you may see beneath the surface and gain a fresh perspective on this fragile environment.
With your mask, fins and snorkel ready — complete snorkeling equipment is provided free of charge if you do not have your own — explore the reef at your own pace. Tropical fish, corals and marine life create an underwater scene that each guest discovers according to what nature chooses to reveal that day.
Back on board, the atmosphere gradually changes. Planète Bleue heads out to sea again as the sun sinks towards the horizon. It is time to slow down, settle in and simply enjoy the moment.
An apéritif with a generous selection of savoury bites is served, accompanied by fruit juice and punch. As Guadeloupe’s coastline takes on the warm colours of the evening, conversation mingles with the sound of the sea.
Then come the first notes of the saxophone. Performed live on board, the music accompanies the sunset and gives the evening a distinctive atmosphere. There is no schedule to follow: just the sea, the light, the music and the pleasure of being there.
As the last colours fade beyond the horizon, Planète Bleue makes its leisurely way back to Deshaies.
With ANAVA, a Sunset Cruise is much more than a sunset at sea: it is an encounter with nature, a moment to share and a chance to pause and savour the present.
